What is ADSL?

ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is a broadband service delivered over a BT PSTN analogue line. ADSL uses different frequencies on the line which means you can make phone calls and use the Internet at the same time.

Why is the download speed greater than the upload speed for ADSL connections?

ADSL is Asymmetric which means it runs at different speeds for upload and download. Entanet also provide SDSL (Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) which provides symmetrical upload and download speeds.
